Setup Guide

How to Set Up Apple Business Connect (Apple Maps)

Apple Business Connect is how your business appears on Apple Maps, Siri, and search on every iPhone and Mac. This guide walks you through claiming and verifying your listing — most of the info can be pulled straight from your existing Google Business Profile.

Why This Matters

iPhone is used by roughly half of U.S. smartphone owners, and Apple Maps is the default navigation and local-search app on every one of them — plus it's the source Siri uses when someone asks "find a roofer near me." If your business isn't claimed on Apple Business Connect, Apple may be showing outdated or incomplete information (or nothing at all) to a huge share of local searchers.

Step-by-Step Setup

1

Go to Apple Business Connect

Visit businessconnect.apple.com and click "Get Started." Sign in with an Apple ID — if you don't have one, you can create one free with any existing email address (you don't need an iPhone to do this from a computer).

2

Search for your business

Apple Business Connect will prompt you to search for your business by name and address. If your business already appears on Apple Maps (Apple pulls from public data sources even before you've claimed it), select it. If nothing comes up, choose "Add a new business" instead.

3

Enter your business details

Fill in your business name, address, phone number, website, category, and hours. Use the exact same information as your Google Business Profile — name, address, and phone number should match character-for-character across every platform. This consistency (NAP consistency) is a real ranking factor.

4

Verify your business

Apple will verify your listing, typically via a phone call or postcard to your business address (same idea as Google's and Bing's verification). Follow the prompts — phone verification is usually the fastest option if it's offered.

5

Add photos and a short description

Upload a few real photos of your work/team (the same ones from your Google Business Profile work fine) and write a short business description. Listings with photos and a complete profile get noticeably more engagement on Apple Maps.

6

Publish and you're done

Once verified, your listing goes live across Apple Maps, Siri, and Spotlight search. No further action needed from you — let us know once it's verified and we'll take it from there for ongoing monitoring.

Tip: Apple Business Connect lets you schedule "Showcases" (like Google Posts) once your profile is live — highlighting promotions, project photos, or seasonal updates. Not required for setup, but worth knowing it exists.
Heads up: If Apple shows an existing, unclaimed listing for your business with outdated info, claim that one rather than creating a new listing — duplicates cause the same ranking problems on Apple Maps that they do on Google.
